So what if we did a 'top 10'?

In no particular order I think my 10 teams in the rankings would be st chris, paul vi, bishop ireton, roanoke catholic,st stephens, lca, woodberry, cape henry, collegiate, and john paul the great. Without really knowing the line ups its tough to put these in order but in my opinion I think these teams will end up in the top 10.

Hard to make out for me....
I am going to go with LCA breaking the streak this year.
1. LCA 2. St. Christopher's 3. Paul VI
Then it gets murky.....
Collegiate, Cape Henry, Bishop Ireton, and Benedictine
I think a dark horse may be Woodberry. They have a couple decent transfers, but not sure they will be ready to challenge that top group this year.
Anyone else?
Who am I missing?

St Chris has won 11 in a row...many have tried and failed to unseat them...the road to the VISAA title continues to run thru them...they have to be the favorite.

cape henry graduated 10 of 14 starters last year and besides Garett smith, kantor, harvich and law i dont think anyone on that squad has had much varsity experience. Im very interested to see how CH pans out this year. Has anyone seen any of there new and upcomming wrestlers thus far? Any extremely tuff kids?

LCA seems to be the favorite, but ST Chris will be close.

Have you taken into account that Joey Prata is with St. Chris this year. He may have lost to Harvich but he will score points for the team all year. They are also tracking to recruit 2-4 other Central Region Middle School studs for next year.

by recruit I mean talk to kids and get them interested in wrestling for the school, nothing more. St. Chris is a very ethical program. Great school attracts great kids. I would say this is also true for most of the schools in VISAA

Personally I believe every private school should try and "recruit" student-athletes. Recruit meaning to sell them on the superior education, better learning environment, and higher expectations than their public school counterparts. Competition makes everyone better.
